I am a Teaching Associate Professor of General Business and the Director of Labor Policy with the Knee Regulatory Research Center at the John Chambers School of Business and Economics at West Virginia University. The Knee Center was formerly located at St. Francis University, where I also served as adjunct faculty in the Shield’s School of Business. I was the faculty adviser for the St. Francis Federal Reserve Challenge team, whom I was a competitor for from 2012-2014.
completed his Ph.D. in Economics at Universidad Francisco Marroquín. I am also an alumnus of George Mason University, where I received an MA in economics in 2018. While earning my master’s degree, I was a member of the Mercatus Center MA Fellowship Program. In 2017, I interned at the Cato Institute in the Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives. I earned my bachelor’s degree from St. Francis University in December 2014, where I was the captain of the Federal Reserve Challenge team and President of my fraternity, Phi Kappa Theta.
My research interests include the effects of occupational licensing, health care scope of practice laws, access to healthcare, state regulatory policy, and labor economics.
A well-known Hawaiian shirt aficionado, I compensate for my immature sense of humor by overdressing most situations. My loves include reading good history books and bad puns, and I’m still bitter that the Star Wars expanded universe is no longer cannon.
I hail from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and after spending time in Arlington, Virginia and Altoona, PA, I now call Morgantown, West Virginia my home.
